There is pleasure in the pathless woods, and rapture on the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less but nature more. (Lord Byron) Nature The Cuteness of it The peacefulness So Colorful Good-bye May, Hello June! 💗

NOTE TO SELF

Benjamin Franklin daffodil A great book to read Hi there, I have been on Little Deer Isle for about a month now. Mom has been going through a rough spell. When I arrived back here she was suffering from an open wound on her leg and extreme shortness of breath. A trip to the doctor with blood work and xrays ordered determined that she had severe edema and anemia. Besides all that her mobility had deteriorated in the 2 and a half months I had been home in Bethlehem. She could no longer sleep in her bed and was sleeping in her recliner in the living room.  So, her doctor put her into an unna? boot and she has had to visit him weekly to get the bandage changed. She has been put on strong edema meds and ferrous sulfage tablets. I have her on a strict diet also. I'm happy to say that she is now starting to feel much better, her breathing has improved and she is finally back to using her walker. I couldn't be happier and hope that her progress continues. INDUBITABLY: IMPOSSIBLE TO DOUBT

What better place to get lost in one's own head then when you are walking through the woods, sitting in a rocking boat gazing out at the vast ocean or looking up up into the sky watching the clouds moving along. All my concerns are vacated from my mind and I just praise God for the peacefulness of it all.  We are not to the tulip stage yet but I can dream. We do have  birds gathering nest materials. The bleeding hearts remind me that Mother's day is on Sunday and I haven't a card yet to give to Mom, let ...

THE MORNING SMILED

Image
It's a beautiful morning in our neighborhood on this Sunday. I have enjoyed the new colors on our little patch this past week. The weather has been spectacular with 70 degrees most days. I ventured out to shop and have my hair cut, have lunch with a friend. The rest of the time I have been doing laundry and washing windows, giving dogs baths, cooking healthy meals and cleaning this large and sprawling house. Due to my back issues I take lots of breaks to crochet on my latest blanket, Sweet Pea, eat a bit (?) of chocolate and watch old episodes of NCIS on dvd. Since being home here in Bethlehem I have avoided watching TV. Especially the news. When I'm driving I listening to Fox to catch up but my trips are short ones; everything I need is within a few miles, so no chance to fill my mind with political overload.  Today is Palm Sunday and Roger and I should have made more of an effort to get these tired bones up and out the door to church. I do feel g...
